Leadership
Sam Herder
Partner & Co-Founder
Sam has over 12 years in the alternative investment industry on both the buy- and sell-sides. He began his career at Jefferies in Prime Services before moving to the buyside to join a quantitative global macro hedge fund as Vice President of Operations and Development for seven years during which time assets grew to over $2 billion. Sam’s has experience across operations, technology, and trade execution including designing, building and coding infrastructure and databases, effecting daily operational functions, process automation, engaging with counterparties, supporting due diligence and industry best practices implementation, managing technology planning and cybersecurity, and implementing large-scale company projects. Sam is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
Ned Parrish
Partner & Co-Founder
Ned has 20+ years of experience in the alternative asset investment industry, most recently serving as Chief Marketing Officer at Pula Capital Management. Prior to that, Ned was Managing Director of Investor Relations and Business Development at PlusTick Management, an event-driven alternative investment firm. Ned was previously with Quantitative Investment Management (QIM), and before that North Sound Capital, a ‘Tiger cub’ fundamental equity long/short firm, where he served in similar roles and on each firm’s management committee. Prior to working on the buyside, Ned was a Vice President in the equities divisions of Lehman Brothers and Donaldson, Lufkin, and Jenrette. At Lehman, he was a member of the Equity Research Investment Policy Committee. Ned is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
